Who we are:
Volvo Trucks International MEENA is responsible for sales and marketing activities in north and west Africa, East, and Middle East markets, covering truck sales in 56 countries.
Your main responsibilities are:
As a Technical Support Engineer (TSE) you will ensure technical support and necessary technical information. You will make sure that the technical information includes a required level of competencies and equipment, as well as brand identification in accordance with VTC guidelines.
You will also act as an extended arm of Product Quality Manager (PQM) and central Technical Service and provide input for market specific concern issues and handle critical product quality related issues on daily basis.
• Actively and directly handle issues concerning product quality and provide technical support to authorized Volvo workshops
• Handle critical product quality related issues, reported from Middle East markets workshops on daily basis;
• Coordinate investigation of market specific cases between VTC Technical Service
• Supervise technical aspects of service activities, make necessary recognition of technical issues
• Regularly visit Volvo authorized workshops, conduct meetings with sales and service organizations in accordance with visit plan agreed by PQM
• Communicate issues concerning product quality and workshops to Volvo organization using the agreed channels and systems in accordance with guidelines from VTC/ PQM

Qualifications:
In this position we are looking for someone who has the ability to work on own initiative and with proven problem solving skills. You have the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with all stakeholders with a highly flexible approach. Your communication and presentation skills are strong and also your Truck technical skills and knowledge. We want an effective and supportive Team Player who is willing to accept, discuss and embrace feedback.
• the ability to handle numerous tasks as one time and to be able to prioritise issues as required
• proven analytical skills, ability to handle large amounts of data and to identify issues, trends, frequencies and costs
• ability to develop new ideas and ways of working
• master degree in technical area or equivalent experience
• good knowledge about aftermarket, quality processes and product
• good knowledge of heavy duty chassis development
• knowledge on complete vehicles and customer usage
• background within automotive industry
• excellent English skills
