The Technical Marketing Material department plays a critical role for Sandvik Coromant in the successful launch and marketing of an attractive and competitive product offering. This department is part of Technical Marketing within Product Management.
Key performance areas
As Technical Marketing Writer your main activities will be to produce technical marketing material for our customers and develop support materials in the form of text and image for our sales organization. The work will be carried out in close cooperation with the product and application development, as well as with our marketing department. We use different media and ways to communicate, but the web is becoming our primary information channel.
The scope includes product solutions for turning, milling and drilling tools and tooling systems, plus descriptions of new processing methods and applications to help users take advantage of our tools in the optimal way. You will be part of the process-oriented work on product and application introductions and part of marketing projects as well.
In this role you will:
• Define how to promote a product in close cooperation with product management
• Collect and structure information
• Structure and organize the information together with an art director
• Write technical marketing material
• Fact-check and proofread technical marketing material
• Follow up on the usage and feedback of produced technical marketing material, connected to sales targets
• Continuously improve the process for each production, i.e. methods and quality
• Check the use of English in different productions
Your profile
You hold a technical university degree or equivalent and relevant qualifications in the area. You have a sense for, and interest in words and pictures and are able to organize material, as well as write engaging and informative texts. To create good and efficient technical marketing material, it is important that you have good knowledge of how to market and promote products and solutions in different media (print, web, apps, etc.), but also good technical understanding. You have excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
As a person, it is important that you are driven, structured and independent. You are communicative and outgoing and enjoy the challenge of delivering quality within a tight time schedule, in a fast and flexible environment.
