About the job
As a Technical Marketing Professional, you will be the main support for our regional Sales teams by providing detailed expertise on our product portfolio and helping implement our commercial strategies in a very dynamic market environment. You will be working closely with our Sales managers on specific customer needs by proposing and implementing our technical solutions. Furthermore, you will be the key interface linking customer/market demands to our internal stakeholders, such as Product Management, R&D, and Operations. Initiating product developments and improvements, as well as giving technical support directly to our customers will be part of your tasks in Technical Marketing.
In addition, your tasks will include
Providing refractory expertise to our Steel customers Northern Europe that are in a disruptive transition from hot metal to HBI / DRI operation to reduce CO2
Initiating the development of more environmentally friendly refractory products, addressing our customer needs on the journey to Green Steel.
Giving on-site technical support to our customers, directly on site: fact-findings, trial monitoring & process consulting
Providing both refractory product and process knowledge to Sales and customers
Creating customer specific refractory concepts and system solutions
Initiating and supporting local market strategies & market roll-out of new products
About You
You are a strong communicator with a collaborative attitude. What we expect from you in terms of
Education & Skills
A technical education in Engineering (Metallurgy, Materials Sciences, Process/Chemical Engineering, Chemistry or similar)
Profound practical knowledge about DRI/HBI operation in EAF steel making and the processes
Excellent practical experience in refractory selection & installation - particularly in the field of DRI-based steelmaking
Excellent communication skills that allow you to work in an international team
Profound MS Office skills
Languages
English - Advanced
Work Experience
Minimum 2 years of practical experience in refractory or in steel industry with DRI / HBI operation
