As we continue on our quest to democratise financial services, we are on the lookout for an inspiring Developer to become Tech Lead role of our Product Library Team which belongs to our Sell With Insights Area.
In this role, you will be partnering with a talented cross-functional Team working on a functionality enabling Merchants across the World to save time and grow their profits by providing them with the fastest and most intuitive product management tool for their businesses.

Tech Lead in the Product Library Team
As a Tech Lead in our Product Library Team, you will have the end-to-end ownership of our tech stack. This means that you will work closely with everyone on the Team as well as other Tech Leads and stakeholders to keep the technical direction aligned with the roadmap and overall agenda of the Architectural vision for iZettle's PoS.
Besides the above, an important aspect of this role will consist in acting as a Mentor and a Partner for all Team Members and Stakeholders to turn ideas into efficient solutions while still taking part in hands-on programming to stay close to the code and the systems.

Today we work with Java 15, Kotlin, Dropwizard, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, Docker, Terraform, and everything is hosted on Amazon Web Services. In Product Library, the stack includes several layers such as iOS, Android, Web and Backend.
Should you accept it, your mission is to:
Lead the Architecture of the tech stack by bouncing ideas and working closely with your colleagues inside as well as outside the Team;
Take an active part in system design and support and mentor other Developers in discussions and decision making;
Design, implement and maintain features together with the Team;
Ensure a high level of quality, usability and maintainability of the (reusable) components and code;
Experiment and learn about design, technology and processes.
The skills to succeed
A proven experience in Backend Development with Java 8+ and both NoSQL and SQL databases (Cassandra and PostgreSQL);
Expertise in distributed architecture and Data/APIs modelling as well as designing for scalability and flexibility;
A background in designing and maintaining Libraries/APIs used by others;
Great communication and collaboration skills combined with a solid experience working in a diverse and Agile environment.
