At The Active Safety department has been one of the fastest growing parts of Volvo Car Group over the last decade due to rapid development of Active Safety systems and functionality. By continuously launching innovative and world first active safety features Volvo Cars has positioned itself among the leaders in the automotive industry and now the work towards achieving our vision that by 2020 no one should be killed or seriously injured in a new Volvo continues.
The Sensor Fusion & SW Integration group, is one out of four groups in the section Active Safety and Vehicle Dynamic Functions. The group consists of teams, which has a supportive role to the whole section, e g Sensor Fusion experts, SW leaders, SW Integration, Continuous Integration (CI), SW Quality and System Safety.
As System Safety Engineer (SSE) you will support our Function Owners and Function Developers with system safety processes and methods in the daily work. You will also be responsible for delivering System Safety Plans and review Safety documentation, like the Hazard Analyses, created for our functions and their realization. You will work in close collaboration with the other System Safety Engineers within the department, to assure our fulfilment of the ISO 26262 standard. We are looking for a driven, enthusiastic person with background in safety critical function or system development.
Required qualifications
* M.Sc. in Physics, Electrical, Computer or Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent
* Experience in working with system safety in Automotive, Aerospace or equivalent industry
* Experience in Electrical System Design and System Development
* Experience in embedded SW and HW
* Fluent in English, written and spoken
* Good knowledge of system safety standard ISO 26262 is meritorious
* Knowledge about automotive function development is meritorious
* Requirement specification in SystemWeaver tool is beneficial compared to other candidates
* Driving licence B
