System Engineer
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a System Engineer Hosting to join our team located in Stockholm, Sweden.
The hosting team is recruiting a System Engineer Hosting for placement in Stockholm. The main role of the System Engineer is to manage hosting operations in a hosted environment for customers. You will research, report and correct any quality assurance issues with regard to service availability, security issues, customer services and manage day to day operations. Scrum methodology will be introduced in the hosting team.
The hosting team works closely together with product managers, support, sales and customer project managers as well as third party vendors. You will need a bachelor's degree and we feel that you will have:
• Unix and Oracle SQL skills are essential.
• Preferably knowledge of mobile communication, IT technologies and solutions.
• Apache/Tomcat configuration.
• Programming experience.
• Good analytical skills in order to manage complex issues and to define action plans.
• Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary and international environment.
• Fluent written and verbal English and Swedish.
• Knowledge in clusters, HA and Veritas.
• Advanced Oracle DB-Admin skills. Backup solutions, Recovery Manager, Networking (TCP/IP, Cisco firewalls, BIGIP, VPN) , 7/SS7 signaling, SIM cards and SMS-C protocols.
• Have a high degree of self motivation to take the necessary action to ensure we exceed customer expectations
