What's in it for you?
We are Road Contact, a part of the department/ART Body Control and Road Contact. We are responsible in the development of Wheels, Tyres, Tyre Monitoring systems and Mobility solutions. We have responsibilities that stretches all the way from concept development, through the development cycle, and to the launch of the car. We are responsible for developing hardware, as well as developing and integrating software functions, which are sourced or developed in-house.
What you will do
As ART architect for Road Contact you will be part of the ART management team. You will be responsible of defining the wheel and tyre offer from concept phase, supporting the fulfillment of customer attributes such as ride comfort, NVH and energy efficiency. You will have a team of experts supporting you to define our wheel and tyre offer roadmap and long-term strategies. You will also support the agile teams in defining, exploring, and implementing enablers, provide oversight and guidance, and foster a quality-first culture using modern tools and technologies.
The architect likes to be part of change to improve ways for the organization to be successful in everything from technology and processes, to networks and collaborations. To be successful in this role you need to be open minded towards new tools, solutions, and maybe most important, other team members. A large part of the work is bringing different technologies and people together into a coherent solution that is well aligned and highly effective.
Who are you?
You are curious, positive and have a strong drive and ability to engage a team and take ownership of different tasks. We see that you have a strong focus on complete vehicles, the customer experience and understand the attribute effect of wheels and tyres. It is also important that you have solid experience in tyre development. To fit the position, you have a MSc or BSc in Mechanical Engineer or similar experience that we consider to be equivalent.
Your communication skills are excellent and you value collaboration and balancing of different stakeholders, Also, to be able to succeed in the position you have a great passion for working with the implementation of the architectural vision. In an effective way, you build formal and informal relationships inside and outside the organization and have the ability and experience to create and drive vision, roadmaps and detailing the steps to get there. You use your technical ability and expertise to understand and decide the most balanced system/function alternative. We also see that you are fluent in English, written and spoken.
Furthermore, we find it meritorious if you have several years of experience in product development within the automotive sector as well as knowledge and experience in Tyre Development. If you have experience working in an agile environment and with chassis components like springs, spring aids, rollbars, bushings and dampers, we considered it as meritorious.
