The Group Sustainability team focuses on driving AFRY's sustainability work on a strategic level. We have a forward leaning business focus on our clients and towards investors, we monitor and report our sustainability progress and strive to increase sustainability knowledge in the organisation. We engage in strategic arenas such as the Climate Change Conference (COP), provide guidance to the business on strategic themes and drive strategic projects to further leverage AFRY's sustainability ambitions.
Job Description
With a focus on sustainability performance and data, we are looking for a Sustainability Performance Project Manager to strengthen our Group Sustainability team. This is a new role, and you will have the opportunity to drive change and continuous improvement within our sustainability work - focusing on sustainability performance and reporting to drive impact and grow our business. The role includes analytical and tactical tasks as well as strategic elements that further improve AFRY's sustainability performance, as well as follow-up and reporting capabilities in line with established sustainability reporting frameworks and regulation, such as the NFRD, GRI Standards and the EU Taxonomy.
You will report directly to the Director of Sustainability.
The position is on site at HQ in Solna, Sweden. Full-time employment.
Your key responsibilities will be to
• Secure and continuously develop AFRY's capabilities to follow-up on sustainability performance and provide necessary training and guidance relevant for the process.
• Consolidate Group sustainability data for the annual sustainability report and participate in the third party limited assurance process.
• Secure reliability and consistency of sustainability data and ensure the efficiency of the process. Set requirements in regard to information system owners.
• Lead the work with further developing AFRY's EU Taxonomy assessment and follow-up capabilities.
• Support the business lines through training and awareness activities as well as guidance about the EU Taxonomy.
• Follow the development of the EU Taxonomy and secure proactivity in improvements of internal processes.
• Continuously communicate on AFRY's EU Taxonomy work, results and actions to internal and external stakeholders.
• Support in other areas of responsibility within the sustainability team.
Qualifications
We are looking for a team player, who knows how to lead by example and how to empower by a positive attitude. You are passionate and have expertise regarding sustainability and understand how engineering and design plays a role to create a sustainable future. You are structured, proactive and curious to learn, develop and improve your ways of working and are a strong communicator.
To be successful in this role, the person we are looking for has:
• Relevant Master's degree, preferably within economics, sustainability or engineering.
• Minimum of two years of professional experience from a similar role. Previous experience from assurance of sustainability data is a strong merit.
• Strong analytical and numerical skills and experience from analysis, both data driven and qualitative.
• Excellent skills in Excel and PowerPoint and good understanding of information systems such as CRM, ERP and HR systems. Knowledge in Microsoft dynamics and SAS BI is a plus.
• High level in written and spoken English and Swedish.
• Knowledge about the EU Taxonomy. It is meriting with an understanding of relevant sustainability reporting frameworks, standards and regulation such as GRI Standards, NFRD, the TCFD's recommendations and the upcoming CSRD.
• Proven project management skills, preferably with experience from working in an international organisation, with multiple stakeholders and in cross-functional environments.
• Understanding of how sustainability is managed in a business environment with diverse types of offerings and solutions and how to combine long term goals and strategy with "here and now" actions.
