Who are we?
Orexo develops improved pharmaceuticals and digital therapies addressing unmet needs mainly within the growing space of mental illness and substance use disorder. The products are commercialized by Orexo in the US or via partners worldwide. The main market today is the American market for buprenorphine/naloxone products, where Orexo commercializes its lead product ZUBSOLV® for treatment of opioid use disorder. The company is headquartered in Uppsala, Sweden, where research and development activities are performed.
The Role
The Supply Chain/planning team is accountable for the supply of externally manufactured products within Orexo. As a Supply Manager you'll have a key role in sourcing new suppliers and managing and develop supplier relationship on an ongoing basis. The contacts are both internal and external stakeholders in a variety of countries and cultures including senior management.
The role requires a commercial approach to negotiations and an ability to hold the suppliers accountable to their deliverables. You will be solving supplier related issues and drive improvements in output. Communication is of great importance for the role and a key to success.
This role has no direct reports and will report directly to Head of Supply Chain.
Who are you?
We are looking for someone with a broad pharmaceutical background that understands the cross-functional aspects of the pharmaceutical industry value chain.
The work is executed in a global high-paced environment, with strong focus on cross-functional collaboration.
We believe that you have;
• Strong influencing/ negotiation skills
• Ability to see the whole picture and independently identifying opportunities and issues
• Extensive commercial awareness
• Ability to build, maintain and develop professional relationships
• Significant experience of working with external partners/ suppliers
• Broad pharmaceutical industry background, understanding cross-functional aspects of pharmaceutical industry
• Excellent knowledge and skills in general requirements for Outsourced Activities/Services and Purchased Materials
The Recruitment process
This is a permanent position starting with a probation period of six months.
Orexo's policy is to drug test all prospective employees and a negative drug test is a prerequisite for employment.
