Student Care Coordinator / Fritidsledare / Junior Club (Fritids)
Internationella Engelska Skolan is seeking a driven and passionate Student Care Coordinator / Fritidsledare for our new school in Sundbyberg. As a Student Care Coordinator / Fritidsledare you will work closely with the students, teachers and other staff and be part of the Student Care Team / Elevhälsan. You have an important role making sure that the students feel safe and enjoy coming to school every day. You believe in IES values and ethos and think that a safe and orderly environment is the key for learning. You believe in each child and are interested in finding solutions for every given situation. As a person you are calm, reliable but at the same time firm. Our school provides Junior Club / Fritids and you will be responsible for the development and the day to day operation in Junior Club. If you are interested in joining our team when we start in August 2018 this presents an excellent opportunity for you, where your abilities will be given space to grow and develop. The right attitude is important, which is why we are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, focused and resilient to the day-to-day pressures that working in education can bring.

Responsibilities
Encouraging a calm, safe orderly environment at all times
Being visible around the school, observing and supporting the students
Focus on building positive relationships with the students and staff
Ensure that students have clear guidelines on what is expected at the school
Participate in the work with the Likabehandlingsplan / Equality Plan
Participate in mentor activities
Responsible and leading Student council meetings
Responsible for Junior Club / Fritids and contribute to a well organised JC with team ethic at the centre
Follow all guidelines/routines agreed upon and received by the management team
Promote loyalty to the vision and values of the school
Provide assistance/support to teaching staff when necessary
Administrative tasks

Knowledge
Strong understanding of the IES vision, ethos and values

Skills
Experience of working well with others or as part of a team
Billingual with English and Swedish
Basic understanding of Swedish schoollaw
Basic understanding of student care and pedagogic

Internationella Engelska Skolan Sundbyberg will open in August 2018 in a new and modern building. It is a school for grades 4 to 9 with around 700 students when fully expanded. We provide an international and stimulating environment, where commitment, professionalism and the English language are common denominators.
