www.engelska.se We are a primary school with 1220 students from year 3 to year 9. We are searching for a Student Care Coordinator who can help manage our Junior School. Do you believe in a calm and safe learning environment in which teachers can teach and students learn? We are looking for a passionate and committed person who has the desire to help develop our school's educational environment at the International English School (IES) Gävle year 3-6 Junior School.
For the position as Student Care Coordinator, we are looking for a committed leader with high social competence who wants to play a central role in the work with the school's development. On behalf of the Principal, you will lead the daily activities regarding instructional adaptations and special education.
We are seeking a person who will regularly meet different staff groups and who is responsible for the management, delegation and follow-up of student mappings, individualized student programs and student support. As Student Care Coordinator, there will be a strong collaboration with the student health team and health promotion work for student well-being and competence development. Furthermore, the Student Care Coordinator will support staff, work teams and guardians to help ensure that specialized programs are regularly maintained. The successful applicant should have a holistic perspective, think long-term and is confident of leading change. The Studenct Care Coordinator must also be a clear communicator who guides staff and ensures that they follow the Education Act and the IES ethos.
The Student Care Coordinator is a position which is a part of the management team. In collaboration with the Assistant Principal, year and subject managers and the student health team, you work to develop the school's student health work.
We are looking for a communicative, enterprising and goal-oriented person who has the ability to create and maintain good and trusting relationships with the staff.
Background and experiences:
Teacher's degree (or other relevant education--- special pedagogue)
Experience of ability for organizational development and leadership.
Pedagogical insight gained through work in primary school.
Good knowledge of the school's governing documents.
Experience of working with various social actors such as authorities and municipalities.
You can express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish and English.
Experience of management team work is an advantage.
