Job Summary
Ericsson's Business Unit Global Services is the #1 player in Telecom Services, generating over 98BSEK in 2014, employing 64k people and managing over 1 billion wireless subscribers worldwide.
Services are an instrumental part of Ericsson's future growth, representing ~43% of Ericsson Sales. This has been accomplished through tremendous growth, but still the journey has just started. In this role you will be able to influence how we continue to grow faster than the market - being responsible to drive strategy development and analysis
The role covers the following main responsibilities & tasks:
Drive Global Services Strategy, with focus on Operator Networs, Operator IT and Industry Domains.
Drive the process and lead the analysis to update, formulate, align, document, anchor, get approval and follow up strategies within a defined scope, to secure a shared view for execution of the long term direction of Ericsson.
Specific focus will be on aligning BUGS IT and Industry & Society strategies both within the Business Unit and throughout Ericsson. Contribute to strategy process improvements. Align with Global Services Strategy Execution.
Drive Strategic Projects & Initiatives
Lead the analysis, make recommendations and prepare related decision support to secure that strategic issues are successfully resolved.
Align strategies with Business Lines and represent BUGS in GF strategic initiatives
In this role, you will interface with relevant LTs and boards, Global Services Business Lines, internal subject area networks, regional strategy teams and customers during strategy presentations and workshops.
You will report to the Head of Strategy & Portfolio
Position Qualifications
We are looking for a person with the following competence:
Excellent skills in Strategy Development
Strong people and project management skills
Deep knowledge of the Telecom Services business
Regional understanding and regional WoW experience
Business minded & analytical strategic thinking
Excellent communication & presentation skills
Good financial understanding
Experience from driving change and execution
Fundamental Leadership Competence
Financial Acumen & Skills
Qualifications & Experience Requirements:
Extensive strategy development experience, e.g. with background of a management consulting role
Experience in IT Professional Services for Telecoms/Media and/or Vertical industries
Track record of working with business/strategy development of the full Global Services business portfolio
MBA or similar set of theoretical skills, otherwise MSc.
Relevant organizational understanding and managerial network
