We are looking for a person with an understanding of telecom business and telecom technology to join our CTO Office in our Networks division. Telenor is rapidly heading towards the digital future, and we are looking for people who wants to make a difference in the NW Technology area.
What you'll do
The CTO Office function governs the NW division's cross-functional agenda and projects across Telenor Sweden. We assess the OPEX and CAPEX outlook together with the business controlling function, and take part in governance of strategic projects, including management of strategic contracts. The team includes experienced experts with both Business and Technical background from the Telecom industry.
As our Strategic Project Lead you will be leading or taking part in a wide range of strategic projects and initiatives in Telenor Sweden, e.g.:
* Business case development and assessment of strategic opportunities in the industry
* RFQ processes towards equipment vendors
* Planning and execution of 4G/5G rollout, as well as 3G sunset
* Development and contract management of our Network Joint Ventures, i.e. N4M (with Tele2 on 2G/4G) and 3GIS (with 3 on 3G)
* Contract management of Managed Services agreements, including assessment of new opportunities
As a part of the CTO Office expert team, you will be asked to align your project responsibility with the Networks Management team, and with other relevant management teams in Telenor Sweden including top management.
In addition, you will occasionally be asked to:
* Assist in strategic discussions in the management team in the NW division, e.g. related to NW improvements or opportunities
* Participate and align with strategic discussions in other divisions, e.g. IT and customer facing divisions
* Support in any initiative or assessment that is high on the Telenor Sweden CTO-agenda
* Facilitate interaction and reporting to HQ in Telenor Group
Who are you
It is beneficial for this role if you have experience from a management consultancy as well as an understanding of the Swedish telecom industry, but it is not a requirement. Your background may also be from a telecom operator, a telecom equipment manufacturer, a telecom solution provider or similar.
You have a strong business or technical oriented academic background, and additionally we think you need to have:
* A broad business and technology oriented understanding of the telecom industry
* Experience in Stakeholder Management, i.e. an ability to effectively communicate and interact with higher management.
* An ability to develop and explain business cases
* An understanding of financial reporting in large organizations
* Experience across organizational and cultural boundaries, internal as well as external towards e.g. external vendors or our Headquarters in Telenor Group
* Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities
* A high degree of execution power and passion
* High level of integrity and ethics, adhering to the Telenor way of working
* Commitment, maturity, flexibility and speed in response to business and challenges
