What you will be a part of
Support and Services, a business area of Saab, supplies a wide range of services and integrated support solutions to customers in defence and on commercial markets for cost-efficient support of systems and platforms throughout their life cycle.
Airborne ISR is a business unit within Support and Serviceshaving business and operations within development, production and customer support for airborne surveillance systems. The primary business include aircraft integration and modifications for Saabs AEW systems on own aircraft types as well as aircraft types from other OEMs, development of ISR systems for maritime and overland surveillance as well as customer support including extensive operations contracts. The operations is performed in close cooperation with Market Areas and other business units within Saab. With several large ongoing business projects and prospects leads the sourcing department to expand the the strategic purchasing capability.
You will be part of the Saab group where we together work with the category management, supplier relations, cost reduction, supply chain and development of tools for the purchasing process. It also gives opportunities for company-wide purchase training. High service level, communication and cooperation are key words in our objective to satisfy the needs of our customers.e strategic purchasing capability.
Your role
In your role as a strategic purchaser your main tasks will be , contract management and price negotiations with both national and international suppliers. You will lead procurement related activities and you will own a couple of our major supplier contracts as well as any offspring’s thereof in terms of new opportunities. You will work in a quick-paced work environment, you will manage all aspects of your supplier contract portfolio, and you will be part of our sourcing teams to assist with commercial and contract perspectives, compliance matters and application of company policies and in cooperation with our corporate contract management team, structure, draft and review purchasing agreement specific for our Business Unit.
This role will offer the possibility to work on a high technical level with the most highly qualified system procurements at Saab, and with long-term relationships with international suppliers and partners. Our business unit is expanding which gives the opportunity to influence both content and execution of our work
Your skills and experience
You have experiences in strategic procurement together with a background in commercial or contract management, with proven experience of negotiations, preferably within major industrial companies. You have good skills in communication, administration and management. Also to complement the skills within the department, it is preferrable if the applicant has working experiences and university educational background in business law.
You are skilled in working strategically, ability to work independantly with high focus on end-user needs and satisfaction. You are a good listener creating trust and focusing on creating win-win situations in negotiations with external partners. You shall be able to combine and interpretate legal requirements with the commercial requirements imposed from our suppliers and partners to fulfilll obligations in our customer agreements.
