We have an exciting opportunity for a Strategic Account Manager to join our National Oncology Team at AstraZeneca.

Oncology is one of the three core therapy areas within the company with a strong and growing pipeline. The heritage in developing cancer medicines goes back over 40 years and the prime objective within Oncology is to re-build and strengthen the company?s capabilities in the field.

AstraZeneca?s current strategy and pipeline contains a range of novel products and therapies meeting unmet needs in the market, across large and small molecules including a industry-leading portfolio of Immune Mediated Therapies to treat cancer.

Following launch of Lynparza (olaparib) and TAGRISSO (osimertinib), there is a plan for subsequent launches of new compounds and new indications. The pipeline includes many new drugs that make AstraZeneca uniquely positioned to combine agents within and between key scientific mechanisms. Please refer to appendix 3 for more information about the Oncology pipeline.

AstraZeneca Nordic is in a process of significantly increasing its resources in Oncology, having recently recruited Additional Medical Advisors across markets and Nordic Diagnostic manager in addition to new Nordic Brand Lead roles. We are now recruiting a Strategic Key Account Manager for Sweden.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

As a Strategic Account Manager (SAM) for Lung Cancer, you will be part of the Swedish Lung Cancer National Team and play an important role in the contribution to the Nordic brand/franchise strategy.

Strategic Account Manager at AstraZeneca is a field based customer-facing role responsible for sales, marketing and regional market access, covering various stakeholders? e.g. regional payer groups, health care professional groups, specialist organizations, patient organization, diagnostic lab and pathologists. Strategic Account Manager is accountable for both regional and national accounts securing sales and driving business in collaboration with a cross-functional team.

In this role, you will be accountable for developing and implementing the national account plan that aligned with Nordic brand plan, together with a cross-functional team. You will be adapting local marketing material and campaigns compliant with regulations. You are also accountable for the regional market access business, securing managed introduction processes and budget allocation for our products in your district.

We are in an exciting phase with a growing pipeline, with a recent launch of TAGRISSO (osimertinib) followed by subsequent launches of new compounds and new indications.
