Would you like to work at our head office in an interesting role in a market leading company that serves both B2B and FMCG? Our current Statistical Forecasting Manager is going to retire and Duni is now looking for you who enjoys working independently with statistics, analyzes, details and can put them in a broader context.
Role description
As a Statistical Forecasting Manager your daily responsibility is to ensure that the statistical forecast is as accurate as possible. Duni has about 10 000 articles and 1500 of them are forecasted statistically for deliveries out of four warehouses. The statistically forecasted articles represent 50% of the entire sold volume. The forecasting process is complicated by the wide assortment, the market structure and the amount of phase in/out of articles. To increase the share of automation and statistical forecasting is therefore an essential task to further improve the accuracy of our forecasts.
Your main task will be to:
• Optimize the statistical forecast article by article
• Secure the accuracy of the data set that the forecast is based on
• Administration of deviations
• Aggregated analyzes to ensure correctness of the total forecast
• Cooperation with Demand managers regarding campaigns and country specific activities
• Interactions with Supply Planners concerning phase in/out of articles
• Dialog with Category managers regarding future expectations
• Continuous improvement activities
This role will also grant you the possibility to take active part in a technical paradigm shift towards Big Data & AI.
This is a permanent role starting from spring 2018 reporting to the Demand and Value Chain Director within Operations.
Suitable background
You're a person that enjoys working independently with numbers and analyzes. You have a post-secondary education (eftergymnasial) within Supply Chain Management, Finance, Data Science or similar and preferable a couple of years work experience. You have great experience in Excel and you have no problem to communicate fluently in English both oral and in writing, Swedish is not compulsory. Experience from similar work or programming is preferable.
Your character as a person is central in this recruitment. The ability to work independently with repetitive tasks and be able to analyze numbers is essential. You must enjoy to work both with details and the bigger picture. Duni provides development opportunities for the right candidate, both within the function and through the shift into AI and Big Data.
