As a Staff Decision Scientist, you will play a critical role in shaping and implementing Truecaller's experimentation strategy. You will drive a paradigm shift in how Truecaller develops new features by educating people in engineering, product, design, data analytics, and data science about experimental strategy and analyses. You will also contribute with hands-on work, designing, implementing, and analyzing experiments to drive data-informed decisions that are central for Truecaller.
What do we expect from you
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
At least 10+ years of experience in data analysis, statistics, and experimentation.
Strong experience with A/B testing, multivariate testing, and other experimentation methodologies
Proficient in statistical analysis and modeling techniques, such as regression analysis, Bayesian inference, and causal inference
Strong programming skills in Python and SQL
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to present complex data and insights to non-technical stakeholders
Strong problem-solving skills and a results-oriented mindset
What will you work on
Design and execute experiments to evaluate the impact of changes to our products, services, and user experiences, and communicate these results to stakeholders at all levels, including executives, providing actionable recommendations.
Develop and maintain experimentation frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, engineering, design, and business stakeholders, to identify opportunities for experimentation and inform decision-making.
Teach people in product, engineering, design, data analytics, and data science about best practices for experimental design and analyses.
Stay up-to-date with the latest experimentation techniques, tools, and technologies.
Perform spot audits of experiments throughout the company to enforce standards.
Be the go-to person for advice for experimental strategy and analyses in Truecaller.
It would be great if you also have
Big data query tools (we use BigQuery).
Experience collaborating with C-suite executives.
Experience with data from mobile applications.
Experience with data visualization and reporting tools, such as Tableau, Looker, or Power BI (we use Looker).
