www.fingerprints.com Fingerprint Cards (FPC) is a leader in the development of capacitive fingerprint sensors and designs the whole system, from advanced custom silicon devices and microelectronic packages, to algorithms and software for fingerprint recognition and applications on the target devices. The company is growing in order to meet the demands from our customers and to expand the usage of our sensor products.
Our Hardware Reference Design & Integration team is looking for an experienced/senior HW design engineer who enjoys working with everything from HW design to verification and test development.
You will be working in a team responsible for developing reference designs, the HW system integration of FPC modules, design support to external partners developing custom modules and expert design integration support to Field Application Engineers. We are also responsible for the module production tests specifications and the HW tools supporting ASIC-, HW-, SW-design.
The role
You will mainly work in development project targeting the mobile phone market, where you will be responsible for
• Electrical design of FPC modules and SIPs (System In Package)
• Development of HW tools for test and qualification
• Doing module design tests in the lab and writing test reports
• 3:rd line design integration support to mobile phone customers
• Coordinate other project activities related to the team's responsibilities
Other work tasks include technology development for future products and line improvement activities.
You will be working in a dynamic environment and the responsibilities expect to change over time. The work location will be in Malmö.
Your background
You hold a Master's degree within Electrical Engineering and have 5+ years working experience including creating schematics and layout for mobile phones or similar products. You should be familiar with standard lab bench equipment for electrical measurements and soldering. We appreciate if you have theoretical and practical experience of EMC/ESD design and test.
We expect you to be structured and thorough, be able to drive assignments independently and to self-manage priorities, have good communication skills, analytically strong, creative problem solver, good holistic understanding of hardware systems and debugging HW issues. You should enjoy to work cooperatively in multi-site team environment, have the ability to quickly adapt to new assignments, be service-minded and have a positive problem-solving attitude.
