We are a group of 11 SQP-Engineers located at Skövde & Köping plant and handle more than 700 suppliers from all continents.
As Supplier Quality Plant-Engineer (SQP) at Powertrain production Skövde, you are responsible for handling non-conformant material delivered from suppliers. You will coordinate and lead activities at plant and supplier to create customer success. You will issue inspection reports and follow up suppliers' action plans through 8 disciplines (8D) methodology. You will continuously work together with suppliers in a reactive and preventive mode to drive changes which increase the overall quality performance of products within the Volvo Group. As SQP you will also occasionally perform process audits and 8D verification on-site at suppliers.
SQP is a part of Supplier Quality Assurance organization belonging to Volvo Group Trucks Purchasing. The SQP responsibilities are not limited to parts only for trucks business. You will also handle non-conformed material used for Volvo Penta and Volvo Construction equipment applications.
As a successful candidate you have a University degree in engineering, Industrial organization and/or Business Administration. You have the ability to handle complex situations which include several stakeholders and good technical knowledge. We look for a person with great problem solving abilities, synthesizing skills and a can-do mind-set with high drive, energy and passion. You have the willingness to always search for continues improvements to develop products or processes.
You also need to have strong interpersonal skills with a high degree of flexibility, including a strong ability to network effectively across a diverse organization and to build relationships across functional areas and regions globally. You have knowledge of lean production and work in a structured way with logical thinking. The role requires very good Swedish and English communication skills. You need to have the willingness and ability to travel as needed to suppliers and/or other Volvo locations, sometimes on short notice.
