Do you want to create attractive solutions that help our mining customers increase productivity and reduce negative environmental impact? Then this might be the job for you.
Who we are
Scania Mining is globally responsible for the development of markets, volumes, and profits for all of Scania's various products and services sold to the mining industry. Mines tend to be in remote areas far away from our normal service network and many of our customers are operating globally. Our aim is to build up safe and cost-efficient transport solutions tailor made for each individual mine site wherever they are in the world.
Mining is an important profit pool for Scania and GROWTH is the key focus going forward, leveraging our excellent offering and work methods, and continuing the road for Scania to become a Global Mining Champion.
Your role
You will be part of a cross-functional sales team where you will lead, support and coordinate projects of various kind, focusing on customer needs.
The purpose of this role is to;
• Support the Scania organisation with mining vehicle specification issues based on the operational conditions by using our various standard support systems and information sources.
• Be the link between distributors in our Mining markets, bodybuilders, Scania Mining and many departments internally in Scania for mining specific solution development issues.
Part of the job will be to train distributors in mining specification practices, site mapping and Total Operation Economy (TOE) analysis, and improve and update the tools related to your work. Another important part of the role is to take a leading role in Business Improvement Groups with colleagues in the Global Scania Mining community to share best practice tools and methods. You will also take part and represent Scania Mining in exhibitions from time to time. The position will require some traveling.
Who you are
You have experience or knowledge from pre-sales or development. You have a good understanding of Scania Products, and you think that digitalisation opportunities enable us to take the lead toward the best solution provider within the transport business.
You have an Academic degree and have work some years in the heavy truck industry. You also have wide experience in the mining industry.
Furthermore, you have the ability to work as an enabler. Coaching others is needed to scale tools and best practices.
You have good communication skills and take natural ownership of your assignments. You also have a high-quality awareness and the ability to see the big picture. You are also service-minded and like to build and keep good relationships with distributors and customers around the world. You speak and write English fluently. Knowledge of other languages is a merit.
What we offer
The position offers you an excellent opportunity to build commercial experience, get to know the Mining industry and understand the Scania way of doing business in Solution Sales. It is a great platform to grow.
At Scania mining we care about diversity and inclusion- if you do not match all the requirements, please demonstrate in your cover letter how your passion, attitude, and interest in the success of Scania mining might compensate for this.
