At Connected Systems we build solutions all the way from vehicle mounted telematics units to the Scania service platform in the cloud. We also build and maintain the large secure update platform delivering all software to all our products. Software for trucks buses and Engines via factories, workshops and over the air, globally.
Scania today have over 580000 (and counting) vehicles and other products connected online, which receive software and configurations and deliver substantial amounts of data, information and knowledge for Scania and our customers. The department Connected Systems is looking for a solution architect to design and work with hands on solutions mainly for our secure update platform. Our expert team of architects is working cross functional with platform architecture from the ground up to support security, privacy, and availability of data and software updates.
What you will do?
Your main tasks will be to work with security design of the Scania IoT (Internet of Things) platform, with focus on the secure update platform and its systems and their interfaces. As a solution architect you will be taking part in planning activities and do deeper analysis of security requirements and helping the teams understand what solutions is needed. Other tasks may include Interface design to minimize risks. It is a benefit if you have hands on experience of design and implementation of services for certificate handling and general security mechanisms. You will be an important person for shaping our Secure Update platform giving Scania the advantage of turning our products into being truly software defined
Who you are?
We are looking for a highly experienced Solution Architect with proven Security knowledge. Also, with effective communication and social skills. You like to see the bigger picture and you enjoy sharing your view with others. Agile development, continuous deployment and are to you well known techniques. You have a formal degree in engineering and in addition, you are expected to have at least 5 years' experience from working with architecture. Knowledge of the areas of cloud, IoT connectivity is a great advantage for this role. If you have experience from working with AWS (Amazon Web Services) that fits well.
