At the moment we are looking for the right person to fill an opening as Software System Architect to our New Business team. In this role you will have the pleasure to develop products for Axis upcoming success stories!
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
As Software Architect at New Business you will play a leading technical role in the development of our products within Physical Access Control, IP Audio and Network Door Stations. You work with the area architects to design the software system in and around our products. Together you will take concepts to completed new products and solutions ready for launch. This comprises guidance and work with architecture and design, as well as implementation and troubleshooting to take solutions to the market.
In your daily work you will interact with talented software developers and hardware designers, as well as business developers and product managers.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
You have a master's degree in computer science or similar, eight to ten years of experience in software development. You have a broad experience from designing software systems, covering technologies such as cloud, embedded, web, desktop applications and IoT. You like coding as much as you like drawing and understand the importance of building for the future. You are a dedicated and innovative individual with a strong personal drive. We believe you have the interest and ability to communicate architecture and technology to different audiences such as developers, R&D managers and product managers.
Teamwork is crucial for Axis as a whole and for the New Business team in particular, therefore we believe it is important that you can contribute to a good team spirit promoting a creative and stimulating work environment.
OUR NEW BUSINESS TEAM
The New Business team is a unique group within Axis. The group is responsible for both evaluating new business ideas from a technical and a commercial perspective, and product development to offer customers the best products on the market. The team has market-oriented business development resources as well as product development resources. The team's focus is on ideas outside Axis current focus on Network Video. The ambition is to leverage on Axis existing expertise and capacity, which will require a flexible and open co-operation with R&D and other departments.
