Vehicle Motion Control (VMC) within Vehicle Energy and Motion Control (VEMC), design and develop features and innovations to create the most confident, efficient and rewarding drive and ride experience of tomorrow. Vehicle Energy Motion Control at SW and Electronics deliver features and innovations to enable the next generations of self-driving vehicles, active safety technology and electric propulsion. Vehicle Energy Motion Control aim is to control the vehicle in all six degrees of freedom. The organisation works from early research and advanced engineering projects to industrialization of systems in cross-functional agile teams.

Our Art Vehicle Motion Control works in close cooperation with Propulsion Vehicle Control and Active Safety.
We work with development, analysis, and verification of Vehicle Motion Control related software in different vehicle build phases. Our cross-functional team's is now looking for one Analysis Engineer colleague who is equally enthusiastic about what we do as we are. Could that be you?
Our offer
As Software/Function Developer within Stability Control, you will have a unique opportunity to apply a broad spectrum of vehicle dynamics, mechatronics and programming. The field of Volvo in-house developed Stability Control includes e.g. Roll Stability Control, Advanced Stability Control, Regenerative Stability Control, Torque Vectoring etc. Stability Control is a vital part of the active safety and vehicle dynamics functionality in all Volvo cars.
Main responsibilities
* Develop software by using C
* Develop and configure simulation environments.
* Maintain Matlab tools to simplify data analysis
* Test code on unit level
* Document code including test results.
* Perform testing in vehicles, HIL, SIL and bench tests
* Receive, analyze and give feedback on requirements
Required qualifications
* Experience in C-Programming and Matlab/Simulink
* Driver 's license type B
* Experience of vehicle dynamics is meritorious
* Experience of ISO26262 is meritorious
Personal qualities
* Able to take initiative and to identify and accomplish challenging objectives
* Positive and enthusiastic team player
The activities require a close analytical and cross-functional cooperation in the development team. You will cooperate closely with other departments such as active safety, propulsion and brake modulation.
Are you our new colleague?
To fit in this role we think that you are a person with a M.Sc. within electrical systems, system controls, mechatronics, automation or equivalent. You have experience from system/function testing, analysis and verification methods and tools. Furthermore, a great plus is if you have experience with car driving on test track both in summer and winter condition
