As a Software Engineer, you will be offered a varied role where, together with a senior colleague, you will drive the work and development of the connectivity platform forward. The role is diverse, and half of the time, you will work on building and designing the platform in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The remaining 50% will involve technical and practical work on the platform, including programming in C. Xylem uses modern tools (such as the Atlassian suite, Jenkins, Artifactory, AWS) and agile methods to ensure high quality, availability, and adaptability in their delivery.

As a Software Engineer, you will work independently with the platform, so we prefer that you are self-driven and have a good understanding of technical concepts and solutions. To drive the work forward, you will have many points of contact both internally and externally, and to thrive in the role, you need to be communicative and enjoy collaborating with others. In this role, there are also significant opportunities for you to take control and influence your work, and for that reason, we appreciate your ability to take initiative-suggestions for improvements are always welcome. The employment will begin as a consulting assignment through us at Academic Work, but the hope is that you will enjoy it and eventually be employed directly by Xylem. Therefore, we prefer that you are seeking a long-term challenge.
• Proficiency in C
• Good knowledge of Linux
• Experience in connectivity & IoT solutions
• Basic competence in embedded systems
• You are fluent in English with a basic understanding of Swedish.
It is meritorious if you....
• Have experience with the real-time operating system (Zephyr)
• Knowledge in MQTT, HTTPS
