Your role
The challenge with our naval software is the size and the complexity of the code base. In a world where new is fresh we also have to align with stability and trustworthiness as our end user is defending our borders. For real.
We have teams focusing on all aspects of software development. We are currently looking for someone who is used to work within agile teams and have their main experience in Java development and Linux-based operating systems.
As a team member in one of our naval software development teams, you have the opportunity to both teach and learn from your fellow team members and you have great influence on our products and technical solutions, as each team has their own area of expertise.

We think that you have worked up a knowledge within software development from learning by doing, you are familiar with the processes around requirement, development and delivery. You are comfortable in your experience in tackling software development tasks. You understand the challenges that comes with developing software in large and complex systems. To contribute in our teams, we think you have a collaborative mind-set and that you are a team player that encourages an open, trustful and innovative climate.
Required skills/experience:
* At least 3 years of experience from software development
* You like working both in teams and independently
* Good communication skills in speaking and writing (Swedish and English)
* Good understanding of object-oriented programming
Good-to-have skills/experience:
* Bachelor's or master's degree within Science/Engineering/Technology, within computer science, engineering physics or equivalent
* Good knowledge of Java
* Good knowledge of Linux
This position requires that you pass a security vetting based on the current regulations around/of security protection. For positions requiring security clearance additional obligations on citizenship may apply.
