The section "Vehicle Emission and Climate Testing" is a section within the department "A&V Environments". Our main purpose is to operate and develop the department's test beds in the areas: Climate & Aero Testing, Chassis dyno Testing and Emission Testing.
Our responsibility is to provide R&D with test beds and test equipment system in accordance with R&D needs with agreed solutions for capability and capacity over time.
The group, Emission and Rig development, consists of a mix of project engineers, service technicians and service engineers responsible for service and maintenance of all emission measurement equipment within R&D Gothenburg.
We are now looking for a Service Engineer that is a strong team player and have the ability to learn as well as sharing new methods of working and knowledge with the coworkers. Also should this person work together within the team to reach the common targets and to find the best solutions to every challenge.
Main responsibilities
* To perform scheduled service and maintenance according to instructions on emission measurement equipment.
* To troubleshoot and repair emission measurement equipment.
* You will work daytime in approx. 9-12 months, to be fully trained in the tools and ways of working.
After this period the Service engineer is will be required to work an evening shift every 6-8 weeks, Mon - Thu 14:00 - 00:00.
During the evening week you will also be on call in order to solve problems with emission equipment that may occur during the night shift.
* Continuous learning and be curious of new technology in a broad variety of areas.
Required qualifications
* Technical college degree or equal experience
* English both written and spoken
* Ability for problem solving and fault tracing in a technical environment.
* Genuine understanding of technical software, flow charts and wiring diagrams.
Meritorious qualifications
* Prior experience from maintenance in general and servicing emission equipment in particular.
* Knowledge in emission measuring equipment's
