You will be involved in software development from early development to launching truly innovative life science products. You will play a crucial role in designing robust software as part of a cross-functional team of electrical, mechanical, and system engineers.
Moleculent is on a mission to develop advanced technology-enabled products that leverage new insights into the molecular foundation of human biology. JOB DESCRIPTIONYou will join our growing software team, which currently includes four highly talented individuals. As Senior Software Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:
Development of Moleculent software in Python, demonstrating initiative and expertise.
Drive code reviews, create unit tests, and engage in various activities to ensure the development of high-quality software.
Planning your own work in an agile setting, supporting the development of the software development backlog, and contributing to team planning.
Supporting the evolution of our technical frameworks by driving improvements to software architecture.
Collaborate with other teams within the organization and interact with external customers to enhance our software solutions.
As a dynamic startup, Moleculent requires a proactive and versatile approach. You'll need to be ready to roll up your sleeves and contribute wherever necessary to drive our success.
QUALIFICATIONSTo fit the role, you have a BSc or MSc, most likely in Software Engineering, Embedded Systems, Computer Science, or a similar field. Fluent written and spoken English and excellent communication skills are also requirements.
You have extensive experience in successful SW product development and embedded systems development, preferably within Life Sciences. You have broad and up-to-date programming skills, preferably in Python within a Linux environment, but you are technology-stack agnostic and willing to learn what it takes to excel in the environment at hand.
You can work across multiple facets of the project and handle a variation of responsibilities within the software domain. You are focused on product quality and are no stranger to requirements breakdown, setting up code reviews, and automated testing approaches. Experience in agile ways of working and DevOps is a plus.
You are communicative and collaborative and enjoy working in a goal-oriented environment with cross-functional teams. Strong teamwork skills and an analytical and pragmatic approach are important. You are friendly, positive, and fun to work with, and you enjoy working in a fast-paced, changing environment.
