Job Description

WHAT YOU'LL DO
We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to help develop flexible and sustainable technology solutions for H&M. In this role, you will improve and optimize our Order System to ensure it supports our strategic goals and delivers efficient, user-friendly functionality.
Success requires strong communication, effective collaboration, and the ability to translate business needs into scalable, cost-efficient solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders to understand their processes, clarify requirements, and identify opportunities to enhance the system.
In addition to the above, your role will involve:
Design, develop, and maintain high quality, scalable software solutions using C#/.NET.
Build, implement, and manage CI/CD pipelines leveraging GitHub to enable reliable and efficient deployments.
Collaborate closely with cross functional teams (product, design, QA, and business stakeholders) to define, design, and deliver new features.
Ensure performance, quality, security, and responsiveness across applications.
Identify performance bottlenecks, troubleshoot complex issues, and fix bugs to improve system stability.
Maintain high standards for code quality, organization, testing, and automation.
Design and build event driven integrations, enabling scalable communication between systems and services.
Act as a Hands-on technical contributor, working closely with integration partners, platform providers, and the H&M Tech organization to deliver robust solutions.
Identify opportunities to automate workflows using AI, and implement solutions that improve team efficiency, reduce manual effort, and enhance product quality.

WHO YOU'LL WORK WITH
You will be part of the NCG (Non-commercial Goods) Order team within Corporate Support (Business Tech), working closely with business roles such as buyers, business developers and other stakeholders within Store implementation.
The team is geographically distributed between Stockholm and India and oversees the entire order system for non-commercial goods (E.g. Store interior, alarm tags, packaging, lighting, printed material etc), ensuring efficiency, cost savings, and smooth operations.
WHO YOU ARE
Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.
Approximately 8+ years of professional experience in software development.
Strong proficiency in C# and the .NET framework.
Solid hands on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines using GitHub.
Proficiency in frontend development with React, enabling fullstack contribution. This would be beneficial but not mandatory.
Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and best engineering practices.
Proven experience with eventdriven design.
Strong expertise in building Azurebased middleware and integration solutions.
Experience with authentication and authorization, including configuration and integration with UAM/IAM solutions.
Strong problemsolving abilities, excellent attention to detail, and a commitment to highquality software delivery.
Effective communicator with strong collaboration skills, able to work seamlessly in crossfunctional and distributed teams.
Passionate, selfdriven team player who collaborates well with stakeholders across Sweden and India.
