Connectivity Functions is a group within Infotainment Connectivity responsible for developing the connected functions of the infotainment system. Our daily work includes transforming ideas into innovations to meet the high standards of future vehicles. We use the latest technologies and advanced methods to develop the safest car in the world and offer our customers a genuine driving experience.
As a Senior Software Architect within the group Connectivity Functions you will be part of a team which develops HTML framework, the applications and related user interface. You will be responsible for the application framework platform in the infotainment system. The application framework is the base for running in-car applications based on Qt/QML and common web technologies such as HTML5, JavaScript and CSS. The daily work is performed in close cooperation with our supplier base in a creative and international work environment.
Main responsibilities
• Responsibility to design and integrate the application framework into the infotainment system
• Establish framework specification and follow-up with suppliers
• Develop application framework strategy for coming infotainment systems
• Participate in application software development to verify the application framework
Required qualifications
• M.Sc. degree in engineering or a B.Sc. degree in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering
• At least 3 years of experience in the area and a deep understanding of HTML and/or Qt
• Experience in developing interactive web based applications and/or sites in JavaScript, HTML and CSS
• Experience or knowledge of all phases of a SW development cycle
• Driver's license
• Excellent English, both verbally and written
• Communication skills in Swedish
• Working experience from the Telecom/IT business is meritorious
Personal qualities
• You are self-going, able and willing to lead development efforts, with a strong delivery orientation
• You work in a structured way and are able to summarise and report deliveries to internal and external stakeholders
• You have excellent communication skills to match the demands of an international work environment
• You are flexible, creative and like to find alternative solutions to solve upcoming problems
