Our task at Indirect Purchasing is to support, but also to challenge, the stakeholders in Consumer & Enterprise Digital on the digital journey the company has embarked. We constantly seek to develop ourselves through best practices to better serve the challenges ahead and contribute to Volvo Car Group's growth plan, transformation and other business objectives.
What you'll do
As Senior Purchaser IT you will play an important role in ensuring a close relationship with our internal stakeholders and a successful relationship with our IT suppliers in order to create best value for Volvo Car Group. Digital transformation is a strategically important area for Volvo Cars and you will work in the forefront of our company in a creative and dynamic cross-functional environment to create and implement innovative services and offerings for internal and external use. Main tasks involve:
* Prepare and effectuate Request for Information and Request for Quotation in close collaboration with stakeholders
* Lead commercial and contractual negotiations with global suppliers
* Assume supplier responsibility for selected suppliers
* Drive contract management and supplier governance
* Execute and support market-, supplier- and spend analysis
* Find cost saving opportunities and drive the initiatives forward
* Develop and implement commodity- and supplier strategies
* Support stakeholders with professional knowledge, experience and skills how to obtain best possible sourcing solution
* Review purchase requisitions and place orders.
On a personal level
To succeed in this role you will have to be self-motivated, have integrity and be professional. Since you have a lot of contact with different stakeholders, it is important that you have good communications skills. In order for you to fully enjoy this job, you should be business and performance driven and also have a positive mind-set. Lastly you have a analytical and creative personality and love to use this in your daily tasks.
You and your skills
You have experience from purchasing in one or preferably several IT areas: IT services, IT services, IT software, cloud solutions and IT hardware. You are experienced in having to cooperative different internal stakeholders. You're also ha star when it comes to negotiating, both commercial and contractual in a global environment
* University degree or equivalent professional experience in the relevant area
* Solid understanding of the legal aspects in a contract
* Fluent in English (written and spoken)
* Ability to travel internationally
* Excellent skills in MS Office suite
