Senior lecturer in Physiotherapy with a focus on pain and
musculoskeletal disorders

The section aims to conduct high-quality undergraduate programmes, training of graduate
students and research. Four undergraduate programmes are available within the section ;
occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech pathology and audiology. The Physiotherapy
programme provides education at bachelor's, master's and doctoral level . The programme has a
creative research environment and currently has 12 registered graduate students.

Physiotherapy with a focus on pain and musculoskeletal disorders
Specific subject description
Physiotherapy covers the knowledge and study of human movement and how movement,
awareness of body and movement, habits and life patterns affect human health.

Job assignments
The position includes teaching at the undergraduate and graduate level, course coordination,
supervision and research. Teaching in both Swedish and English will occur.
Eligibility
The qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 3 - 4 of the Higher
Education Ordinance.
PhD degree, demonstrated teaching skills and qualification as a physiotherapist.
Assessment
Regulations for the evaluation of qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4,
Section 3 - 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance.
The first assessment criterion is equally demonstrated scientific and teaching skills relevant to
the subject.
In the assessment of scientific skills the emphasis will be placed primarily on knowledge and
experience of research with a qualitative approach. In the assessment of teaching skills
consideration will be given to the skills at the undergraduate and graduate level and teaching
experience of the subject. Good clinical experience within the area of pain and musculoskeletal
disorders, including experience of treatment and management as well as experience in the
development of courses will be given special consideration.
Furthermore, the ability to obtain external funding, to interact with the community,
