ABOUT YOU
You are passionate about deliver high quality software and you also have passion about technology and innovation. What motivates you is to come up with innovative ways of working and you also get motivated by working agile and being open to the change. You get energized by working both in- and interdependently with software engineering network and cross functions. Of course you share and live IKEA culture and values.
We think you have a minimum of 5 years' experience as a Software Engineer and/-or software architecture and you also have experience from setting up and establishing DevOps capability. You have advanced training in computer science or any engineering equivalent. You also have demonstrable management experience.
You have knowledge in following areas:
• deep experience in setting up and operating an end to end integration and automated deployment pipeline
• deep experience in using continuous integration and automated deployment tools and methods
• Experience of managing and setting up physical and/or virtual environments using environments scripting tools
• release preparation and release readiness in a technical environment
• experience and good working knowledge of test automation tools including Selenium, Test Compare Web
• experience with agile development practices, in which requirements and solutions evolve through the collaborative effort of self-organizing cross-functional teams
• IKEAs corporate identity, core values and vision of creating a better everyday life for the many people
As person you are ability to develop good practices and driving continuous improvement in performance. We think you also have proven ability to embed a culture of agile working and continuous improvement within the software engineering function, encouraging simplicity, efficiency, ownership and accountability. You like actively acquire new knowledge and skills and champions new methods, digital systems and processes to improve performance.

You have ability to understand the complexity of IKEA business and the role of technology as an integrated part of the business.
ABOUT THE JOB
The purpose of this role is to implement the technical strategy of IKEA by establishing, managing and operating the process for rapid, regular and consistent delivery of software through an automated continuous integration deployment pipeline.
You will:
• be responsible for create/maintain the necessary environments for the product being delivered (virtual and physical) to support all layers, which is done by using services provided by the technology capability areas
• ensure that there is a holistic plan for automation of the integration and deployment pipeline, working actively to implement the tools and processes required to make this happen including:
• automated testing tools are in place and being used
• environments are virtualised and scripted so they can be built as needed
• automated pipeline in place move tested code through to deployment
• pipeline is integrated with the work management tool to quickly identify blockers
• have ownership of tools and methods for continuous integration, leaving feedback to the technology capability areas to enable further development and strengthen of products
• ensure the automated deployment pipeline becomes a consistent and repeatable processes ultimately allowing for safer and more rapid delivery of tested software
• champion the need for regular release cycles, moving towards continuous delivery
• contribute to the development of standards against which software development can take place as well as exploring and bring in new technologies to boost innovation and development productivity
• work closely together with other DevOps engineers and cross functions to produce all required design specifications and ensure that digital solutions work together and fulfil business needs
• update the common Digital Unit site on standards and methods when necessary to ensure alignment across the Digital Unit
• work across initiatives within INGKA Group, steering towards data-driven solutions
