We currently have the following job opening;
Senior Buyer - Indirect Material & IT Purchasing Department
As a Senior Buyer at Indirect material & IT Purchasing department you will provide material and service contract services to all CEVT Teams and departments. You will develop a strategy and plan as well as establish procedures, processes, policies and standards for CEVT growing procurement need. You will also be responsible for indirect purchasing for CEVT daily operational needs. In addition, you will support the setup of CEVT contract management procedures and processes. The position will strengthen the growing purchasing team and you will play a key role in developing CEVT as a global automotive supplier. You will report to Senior Manager Indirect Material & IT Purchasing.
Responsibilities and tasks
• Support continues improvement of CEVT contract inventory and management processes.
• Provide commercial support to all CEVT functional teams and departments according their available budget/operational challenges.
• Responsible for achievement of procurement goals (cost, quality, deadlines).
• Support as a Cost Estimator to investigate alternative services, materials, processes and technologies and their implementation into the business.
• Finalize purchase orders procedures together with CEVT Finance and start issuing purchase orders.
• Prepare procurement and contract management reports to CEVT management team.
• Cooperate with Geely and Volvo Cars purchasing teams for optimal cost efficiency.
Profile and Background
To be successful in this position you need to be highly communicative and be able to influence people on all levels in the organization.
• B.Sc. or M.Sc. in engineering or business.
• Minimum 5 years relevant experience of purchasing and contractual management.
• Have efficient knowledge about services and goods available in the market.
• Forecasting, planning, and correctly assessing needs.
• Interpersonal and negotiation skills are essential.
• Good communication skill with convincing power to finalize the best deal and following up with timely delivery is vital.
• Knowledge of the automotive industry and related systems and processes is beneficial.
• Have efficient knowledge about services and goods available in the market.
• Analytical, driven and self-motivated approach towards targets.
• Social and open mind set.
