Senior Accountant

The Floby Plant faces a challenging future where we will meet the demands for improved profitability in parallel with a review of ownership of our business. In this journey we are looking for a business minded, experienced and competent accountant to contribute and support future opportunities.

As Senior Accountant at the Floby plant you will work with local questions and have a lot of responsibility in regards to the future set-up of the Floby Business as well as a variety of day to day tasks. As Accountant at Volvo Car Engine in Floby you will report to Finance Director of Volvo Car Engine and the Plant Manager at Floby.

Main responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the consolidation, financial reporting and accounting within the Volvo Car Group
• Overall responsible for developing and securing implementation of new accounting policies and procedures within the Volvo Car Group
• Responsible for adherence to laws and external requirements, preparation of statutory reports and other external reports
• Provide top class advices and guidance to the organisation
• Basic day to day accounting and more complex accounting questions
• Closing activities
• Take part in process development
• Deliver high quality service and advices within the area of responsibility
• Identify areas for improvement within area of responsibility
• Complex analysis and reporting
• Measure and follow up the quality and efficiency of global processes, KPI's

Required qualifications

• University degree in Finance or equivalent
• Around 5 years of experience in Finance or related business
• Good system understanding and efficient data handling
• Sufficient experience and knowledge in the subject area
• Knowledge of finance processes and policies and full ability of applying these in daily work
• Experience in executing global processes locally and working effectively in a global team
• Some leadership experience is preferred and the ability to coach and supervise is meritorious
• Fluent in Swedish and English and good knowledge of Swedish GAAP and IFRS

• Good communication and cooperation skills
• High integrity and excellent analytical skills
