Direct Sales is a function within Volvo Energy Sales Services & Engineering Support. We are responsible for the sales of the upcoming Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) range, including second-life products and focusing on applications in temporary power, charging and behind-the-meter energy optimization. We are now ramping up to meet a growing customer demand and to be able to capture more opportunities in the flourishing BESS market.

Who are you? Are we a perfect match?

We are now looking for a Sales Engineering Manager for Battery Energy Storage Systems. In this role you will be critical to the success of our sales efforts by providing expertise in BESS solutions engineering and related digital tools. You will work in close cooperation with other Volvo Group colleagues as well as a wide range of customers, tool suppliers and other relevant stakeholders. For the right candidate there is an opportunity to later grow this function into a sales engineering team.

Additional responsibilities will include among others:
Collaborate with the sales team to capture customer needs and develop tailored battery energy storage solutions.
Act as a trusted advisor, showcasing the customer benefits and values of our battery energy storage systems.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key customers, partners, and stakeholders.
Be the key user for the solution engineering tools necessary to enable efficient scaling of number of leads and customers.
Provide input and insights to the product owners, BESS and digital development teams based on customer feedback and market trends.

Qualifications likely required to be successful
Experience from sales tools and/or simulations tools in energy industry.
University degree in electrical engineering, power systems engineering, industrial engineering, computer science or equivalent.
Familiarity with electricity market design, actors, rules and revenue potential.
Ability to work as part of a global team, with multiple stakeholders and on multiple projects/tasks at a time.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build credibility and maintain effective customer relationships.
Previous experience within Battery Energy Storage Systems is an advantage.
Fluent in English, written and spoken.
