Your mission
In this position, you facilitate R&D divisions globally, and the Beyond Hardware Program initiatives according to our Digital Machining roadmap. As a key competence in our team, your mission is to initiate and lead technical activities related to embedded systems, robot programming, and automation in digital manufacturing. You're also responsible for bringing relevant and the latest technologies, tools, methods, and processes within the context of digital manufacturing.
Also included in your mission is for example:
Designing robotic solutions and developing automation programs, using tech pendant of the major robot brands.
Configuring Robot Controller Simulation software and other packages.
Generating robot safety configurations and ensuring compliance with safety and ergonomics regulations.
Developing robot signal logic with the software and virtual commissioning team.
Integrating with Edge Devices wherever needed
Implementation of digital twins within IIoT ecosystems and its management in OsiSoft, Azure, Amazon AWS.
You're mainly based in Fagersta, however, this job also allows for some flexibility of working location and travel is a natural part of the job. As we encourage work-life balance, the travel volume is depending on the candidates' opportunities and demands.
Your profile
We're looking for someone with an extensive background in industrial automation, hardware and software development, robotic programming, or similar. Your experience is backed by a relevant master's or bachelor's degree. Knowledge of robot programming, simulations, mechatronics, industrial IoT and software programming is required. You're experienced working with cross-functional global teams, and as we act worldwide, fluency in verbal and written English is a requirement, while knowledge in other European languages is a plus.
Your soft skills are as crucial as your hard skills and, as we're driving development projects and building prototypes with a large network of partners and pilot customers - one of your strongest suits is to coordinate partners, integrators, and customers on technical and business topics. You simply know how to keep a good pace of the activities by understanding our customers' needs - converting them into technical tasks with our partners and building automation solutions. You're a true team player and comfortable working in collaborative teams as well as independently with minimal guidance from others. We are looking for a self-motivated and self-driven person, who apart from regular work also focuses and highlights on personal and team development.
