Innovation and R&D in Consumer Boards division develops new renewable cellulose materials for consumer packaging applications. The unit also produces demonstrators and packaging prototypes of the developed materials in its potential field of applications. Projects are launched within the whole scope of developing and introducing new material and solutions to the market.
We are now searching for a Researcher for our Product Safety and Purity team at our Research Centre in Karlstad.
Description
The Product Safety and Purity team is part of the global product safety network within Stora Enso Consumer Board, with representatives from each production unit and research centers within the division. Tasks involve supporting the development of new material as well as supporting the continuous production at the production units. As a member of the Product Safety and Purity team you will be providing services to customers with a special focus on chemical purity and product safety. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing the instrumental analyses and experimental methodology for critical product requirements, assessing test results, and communicating with stakeholders.
The position requires good interpersonal and cultural skills and the ability to structure your tasks. It also offers a good opportunity to further develop your skills and network while working with key stakeholders within the area of product safety and purity.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you have a minimum of master's degree in chemistry or analytical chemistry, combined with experience of project work. In addition, you have very good experience of analytical chemical work and specifically of GC-MS and sensory analysis.
You have excellent skills in English, the ability to act independently and with good own initiative and accuracy. Very good analytical ability and ability to collaborate in project work with colleagues within and outside Stora Enso's research organization. Good overall understanding of the research area and its importance for the operations of Stora Enso, as well as overall industry knowledge is also needed.
