SenseAir AB, a world leading company in development and production of NDIR (Non Dispersive Infra-Red) gas sensors, is looking for a qualified researcher. The company?s office is located in Delsbo, central Sweden. SenseAir offers an interesting and stimulating surrounding with steadily growing projects and challenges in an expanding market. The entire SenseAir concern has now about 100 employees.
Product design
Our product is a mixed-signal embedded system based on a microcontroller in combination with optical and electronic subsystems.Demands from our customers and the rapid development within this field give a good opportunity for an exciting job for researchers and engineers that appreciate advanced development as well as practical problem solving.
Work description
As a SenseAir researcher you will have a key-role in developing components for infrared spectral analyses, such as emitters, detectors, optical filters or front-end signal conditioning, aiming at novel products for various gas sensing applications. You will work in our Research Group together with four colleagues. We work in a team in co-operation with project managers, development engineers, quality assurance responsible, production engineers and external consultants. The entire R&D department includes more than 20 specialists. One third of the company?s human resources is directed to R&D and advanced Production Technique.
Examples of common tasks:
• Choice of designs, components and materials in future sensors
• Performing investigations and studies to increase knowledge
• Writing research reports, summaries and technical descriptions
• Troubleshooting during development, verification and production stages
• Co-operation with other SenseAir groups, academy and external companies
• Project managing in research oriented projects
• Applying for external funding to support strategic research
Mandatory merits
• PhD or Licentiate exam in material science, sensor electronics or applied physics
• Experience in MEMS technology, or micro-electronic components packaging
• Good skills in technical documentation and communication
• Fluent in English
• Good general understanding of physics, electronics and production technology
Desirable but not mandatory merits
• Experience in optical systems / components
• Experience in silicon processing and silicon design
• Experience in packaging technology
• Experience in analogue design and measurement technology
• Experience in simulation and modelling using tools like Matlab, Spice, Ansys, and Mathcad
• Design for high-volume production
• Experience in quality assurance
• Project leader experience
