hela Sverige Do you want to be a part of shaping our future? As Technology Research Manager you are securing our strategic partnerships with universities and research organisations. Your task is to find, build and develop partnerships and secure collaboration for future research projects developing our future products and services.
Advanced Engineering is a strategic function where we work to find our future technologies and business opportunities. We lead research projects in close co-operation with our talented engineers, we identify technology and market trends from which we develop a technology strategy and we secure public funded projects that support this strategy. We are a team of highly motivated project managers and researchers placed in 3 different continents.
The construction business is rapidly changing towards new sustainable and efficient solutions, within areas such as automation, electromobility and connectivity. To manage this transformation, new research collaborations and strategies are needed. In this strategic role you will be in close contacts with universities, governments and research organisations as well as the rest of the R&D organisation within Volvo CE. Among your responsibilities you:
Identify, select and maintain strategic academic partnerships
Influence academic partners education programs to fit our needs
Initiate and drive relevant research activities
Create understanding between university research and company R&D

Within Advanced Engineering we love challenges and we are convinced that change is an essential part of our work to drive improvements. For this you need to have a passion for working with continuous improvements. You are a good communicator and like working with people. You have minimum a Master of Science within Engineering, preferably a PhD, and several years of experience working within R&D. It is advantageous with experience of working in international environments and projects related to academia. Fluency in English and Swedish is a must, written and spoken alike.
