hela Sverige We require a hands-on research scientist with broad understanding of cell- and molecular biology to our Skin Biology and Bio Analytic group. The role requires strong practical skills in a range of cell based assays and molecular biology to validate potential new targets. In the team you will be in charge of designing and conducting some of these assays.
Key areas of expertise
• Luminex experience (protein multiplexing, e.g. Bioplex know-how)
• Cell and tissue culture experience (preferable also be able to establish primary cells from tissue)
• ELISA
• Protein and/or RNA extraction from cells and/or tissue
• Western blot
• Quantitative RT-PCR
Qualifications
• PhD or Master/Bachelor?s degree with long-term practical experience in laboratory work
• Language: Swedish and English
Competencies
• Ability to work effectively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
• Be able to manage projects single-handedly
• Demonstrated methodical, work practices in planning, executing and reporting research experiments
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, logical reasoning, and organizational skills
• Ability to explain complicated (often technical) matters in a simplified way
Duration: Replacement during parental leave, 14 month. Full time
Preferred starting date: 15th November 2010
