Bioimics is looking for a research and development scientist. This individual will serve as a key contributor to the early development of novel antibiotic compounds. Responsibilities include 1) chemical design of compounds including consultation with contract research organizations, 2) testing of compounds in biological assays (in vitro and in vivo assays) and 3) evaluation of data and authoring company reports.
The position requires a PhD exam at the interface of chemistry or biology. Knowledge and experience in organic chemical synthesis of small compounds and testing of compounds in enzymatic assays are crucial. An understanding of early drug development is meriting. Excellent scientific writing skills are required.
