hela Sverige This position manages the regional IT expectations and keeps close cooperation with local units to ensure demands and needs are properly transferred and handled.
It is an exciting task to achieve operational stability in an IT environment of much change. With a passion for being service minded we want to secure, optimize and improve the local IT support of the region. This is done through providing incident resolution, close collaboration with external suppliers / consultants as well as securing a good relationship with key business stakeholders. In short to make it work.
You will represent SKF IT in the local management team where applicable. Countries in scope for the position are: Sweden, Finland, Denmark, and Norway.
Job responsibilities
• Safeguard all Information Technology aspects (e.g. Infrastructure, Business Application, IT communication tools, IT policies, etc.) within the region
• To be involved/consulted for local major business decisions impacting IT
• To manage IT supplier relations between SKF and our regional/local IT service providers
• To manage escalations and feedback from business leaders, and ensure proper actions are taken by IT
• To manage business expectations to balance regional/local business demands
• To resolve IT problems and suggest improvements in close cooperation with the local business and other support functions
• To ensure that the SKF employees in the region has a good workplace / onsite IT support
• To coordinate and support regional IT projects
• People management, small team.
Personal profile
• Able to independently understand the business challenges and needs and have the ability to deploy corporate (high level) strategic drivers and programs to the region
• Able to prioritise and work with several topics in parallel, maintaining your cool while being focused on establishing / restoring stable operations.
• Able to generate trust, build relationships and maintain them. Being perceived as a valuable counterpart by the business and is consulted on new initiatives, improvement opportunities and challenges
• Good communication skills, being able to influence and interact at different levels in the organization; having the capability of representing IT in the local country management
• Capable of working in an international environment via remote management towards leaders, peers and suppliers.
Job requirements
• Relevant university degree
• 10 years+ experience of working in/with the IT industry, preferably in customer facing position
• Knowledge of key ITIL processes (incident management, problem management, change management, request management, ...)
• Experience of working in a very complex IT environment
• This role will require a strong command of English and possession of any other international language is a plus.
• Needs to be able to work in a global environment, including daily interactions with teams all over the world.
The SKF IT unit provides strategic IT support to the SKF organisation by developing sound strategies and managing selected service providers. We have presence in the Americas, Europe and Asia. The mission of the SKF IT Operate & Support, Business Services EMEA organization is to enable the SKF business units to deliver to external customer promises.
The position will be located at SKF head-office location Gothenburg, you will report to Head of Regional Business Services EMEA.
