If you have experience in recipe development/product development and are up for the challenge to work with the most demanding products, then you might be the new star Picadeli is looking for.
At Picadeli we are working hard at inspiring more people to eat more salad and to realize our vision of a world where "fast-food is the opposite of junk food". As our Recipe Development Technologist your task is to systematically improve the consumer experience through inspiration and development of our recipes, product line and assortment.
You will have two main focus areas: the first is recipes, menus and serving suggestions both for the Picadeli salad bars and for our deli concept, the second is product development and product care where you will focus on improvement. You are always looking for new ideas and you make sure to be updated on the latest food trends. You are also happy to share your knowledge and passion about food with your colleagues, thus contributing to the culture of Picadeli as a passionate food company.
You work independently but understand the importance of working closely together with marketing, quality and purchasing as the launch of a new product involves several departments. You will also have daily contacts with external suppliers, but multitasking is something that only increases your drive and energy.The position is part of the food and quality department which is within the central business organization. This entails working with all countries that Picadeli is doing business in. You live in the Gothenburg area and you will report to the Head of Food and Quality.
You have an interest in food that shows and you consider yourself a real foodie, perhaps you have a background as a chef.You have a bachelor's degree within food science, gastronomy or similar. You are communicative, with a business-oriented manner and you are cost aware.You are flexible and consider business travel within Sweden and Europe an opportunity to work within a larger field. The business language at Picadeli is English but this does not limit you in any way. You can be junior within your field if a drive to develop at a fast pace and willingness to perform appeals to you. However, experience within food product development and international business environments are qualifying merits, as is an overall knowledge of industrial manufacturing.
You have the ability to switch between working practically in the development kitchen with food, evaluations and reports, and working with supplier specifications and customer inspiration and training. Picadeli has a strong business culture where inner drive, commitment and an entrepreneurial spirit are important qualities.
