Our Outstanding Opportunity
The Radio team in Lund has released the first 5G Highband radios in the world! With the advanced antenna systems used in 5G the amount of functionality has multiplied. All functionality builds heat and all our radios are now limited by the heat power that can be handled!
We look for experience from previous technical developments to bring to our team. We will give you an open climate, and a free and independent role with highly proficient colleagues.
As a Radio System thermal Designer in the PDU Radio - radio products Sweden, you will work with a wide network of senior designers, specialists, and partners across the global radio development organization. Seeking technical challenges and develop innovative new technologies for our world leading multi-standard Radio Products. The right person for this task understands the big picture, has a detailed capable drive and a pragmatic way of dealing with all types of challenges. The system thermal design role include activities such as: Simulations, measurements, design verification, requirement analysis and documentation & presentations.
This role reports to Line Manager of Product System Design
You will
• Analyze and handle requirements
• Develop and test products from prototypes to manufacturing
• Work with trouble shooting and customer support
• Handle continuous improvements of HW products and processes
• Manage power budgets and power efficiency work
• Analyze and present numerical and experimental results
• Need the ability and skills in building CFD Models for thermal and flow simulations
• Together with other groups such as electronic HW design, integrated electronic & package design, Mechanical design, integration & verification and other system groups, secure that Ericsson Networks continue to launch successful products!
To be successful for this role you must have
• MSc/BSc in Mechanical or Electronic Engineering or equivalent education
• Shown experience in thermal design
• Understanding of the hardware design process
• Demonstrated good theoretical and practical understanding of fundamentals of heat and mass transfer fluid mechanics
• The know-how with simulation tools like Ansys Icepak and/or Siemens Flotherm for analysis and design of radio products.
