Your Responsibilities

We are looking for a driven Software Engineer who is passionate about developing the next generation Distributed Control System - a solution that will transform how industries work with efficiency, safety, and sustainability.
Key responsibilities:
Design and develop cutting-edge software for ABB's next generation Distributed Control System
Drive innovation by exploring emerging technologies, tools, and methodologies to maximize customer value
Collaborate closely with your team, taking ownership of your work while contributing to shared success

Your Background
A university degree in software engineering, computer science, or a related technical field
Minimum 1-2 years of experience as a Software Engineer
Proficiency in programming languages such as C# and C++
Experience with Distributed Control Systems and OPC UA is a strong advantage
Familiarity with agile methodologies, particularly SCRUM, is a plus
Strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset
Fluent in both English and Swedish, spoken and written

You will be part of Process Control Platform (PCP) which is a unit within ABB Business Area Process Automation. PCP develops automation products - hardware and software - for monitoring, process control and optimization. We have automation products for all kinds of industries all over the world. Our team is only working with software development. As a Software Development Engineer, you will have a job that includes responsibility, variation, problem solving, technical challenges, highly skilled colleagues, and an exciting international workplace where sustainability, design and digitalization are in focus.
