Ballast water treatment is one of the big growth potentials in the maritime industry, driven by environmental legislation. PureBallast - a system developed by Alfa Laval and Wallenius Water, prevents the spread of invasive organisms between the oceans. We have a market leading position and since the launch in 2006, we have sold over 2400 systems to ship owners and shipyards worldwide. In the coming years the business in this global and dynamic market will grow rapidly. We are looking for a passionate Quality and Claims Coordinator to our dedicated PureBallast team. Who you are
About the job
As a Quality and Claim Coordinator you have an important role for AlfaWalls product PureBallast. The main tasks are to coordinate claims, to initiate improvements and to follow up the high quality PureBallast product.
Key tasks:
* Being structured and having the right attitude towards quality issues and corrective actions
* To be able to work professionally in teams across organisational and cultural borders, as well as working and communicating with persons in different positions; blue collar as well as upper management.
* To gather information, make problem analyses and summaries.
* Ability to work by yourself and enjoy handling many parallel activities.
* Communicate with fluent knowledge in English.
What you know
You have an upper high school degree or M.Sc. graduate within machine, marine or similar. You are interested in technology, logistics, quality improvements and statistics. Experience and interest in systematic quality work and improvements are meritorious.

You are technical oriented, and service minded with a positive approach and you strive for customer satisfaction. You know what is expected, organize and structure your work efficiently and take responsibility for defined tasks. Interaction is at key, you are a team-player and are used to deliver high quality service.

The PureBallast product is marketed and sold entirely by Alfa Laval and you will act within the global Alfa Laval organization, with many international contacts, both internally and externally. You will be employed by AlfaWall AB.
