About the role
As we continue to grow we are now looking for a QA Lead to take ownership of QA delivery and lead the team in the mission of ensuring our products and services meet the highest quality standards. Stepping into the QA Lead role is an opportunity to have a great impact on growing the team, improving our strategies and best practices as well as in leading the team successfully through this exciting growth phase.
About you
Lead and manage the QA team, including setting goals, establishing performance expectations, and providing guidance and support to team members to develop their skills and expertise.
Develop and implement QA strategies, processes, and best practices to ensure the quality of the company's software products and services
Collaborate with other teams and departments (including Engineering, Product Management, and Customer Support) to ensure that QA activities are aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.
Plan and coordinate QA activities, including testing, defect tracking and reporting
Collaborate with development teams to identify and prioritize testing needs and ensure that all testing is aligned with project goals and objectives
Monitor and evaluate QA metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement, and make recommendations for changes to QA processes and practices
Review and approve test plans, test cases, and other QA-related documentation
Work with external vendors and partners to ensure the quality of third-party components and services
Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices in software testing and quality assurance, and provide training and guidance to team members on these topics.
To succeed in this role we believe you have experience with and passion for developing individuals and ensuring team performance. You bring a strategic mindset, provide accountability, and are driven to understand, support, and empower team members using your communicative skills. Your strong understanding of software development processes and methodologies from previous experience as a QA Engineer allows you to drive the work forward, set goals and support the team in achieving them.
