We are now looking for a QA to expand the Release QA team. We believe that you are a team player with a thirst for knowledge and a positive attitude. It is vital that you are able to convey information with clarity and ease, so good communication skills are a must-have. We also expect you to be a creative problem solver and a quick learner.
As QA at Star Stable you will participate in release/feature sign-off to ensure the quality bar of our product is upheld. You will also be encouraged to propose improvements to our existing processes in order to improve the team's speed, quality and efficiency. You will work closely with our game developers and the rest of the QA team. Our QA team consists of a gang of colorful individuals that have a lot of fun together. Are you prepared to take us on?
As QA you will be:
• Creating, executing, and following up on test cases
• Conducting functional QA testing of our existing product Star Stable Online
• Ensuring that quality issues and defects are identified, documented and resolved in the defect tracking system (Jira)
• Clearly explaining, both verbally and in writing, the results of various tests that you conduct.
• Attending meetings with development teams.
• Proposing design improvements and advocating for quality throughout the development cycle.
• Creatively trying to break our game before our users do
Must haves:
• Relevant education in game development and/or prior experience from the gaming industry
• Analytical skills
• Experience with bug tracking systems - experience with Jira preferred
• Experience in functional testing
• Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize tasks
• Fluent in English, written and spoken
• Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test cases
Nice to haves:
• Scripting or programming knowledge
• Hands-on experience with test automation tools
• SQL skills
