We are looking for a person who will lead the Purchasing Site Operations Consumables & Services (SOC&S) team at AkzoNobel in Stenungsund. In the position you will have 5 direct reports; 3 Front Office Buyers and 2 Support Desk Employees. The team is located in Stenungsund and Örnsköldsvik, Sweden.
In this position you will be challenged by improving sourcing strategies and continuously develop the team. You will be part of the Site management team in AkzoNobel Functional Chemicals Stenungsund. As an expert within purchasing you will be able to use your skills within negotiation and presentation. You will have the opportunity to build a strong internal network to establish a collaboration that fosters sharing best practices and continuous improvement across the regions and Business Units. You will report to the Purchasing Manager SOC&S EMEIA Functional Chemicals who is located in Arnhem.
Main responsibilities
• Manage the SOC&S Nordics team from a people management, career development and employee engagement point of view.
• Develop sourcing strategies and support the team in executing them.
• Commercially manage and coordinate SOC&S spend and suppliers for the Functional Chemicals Nordics organization.
• Build, develop and maintain an internal network within Integrated Supply Chain in the region

• Master degree in business/economics, engineering, supply chain or related discipline
• 5 years of relevant working experience, including strategic purchasing
• Minimum 2 years leadership experience
• Fluent in both written and oral English and Swedish
• Ability and willingness to travel in the region (15%)
