Scania Purchasing is responsible for the purchase of products and services to all Scania units worldwide. We provide value to our customers by procuring products and services with the right Technology, Quality, Delivery and Cost, focusing on Sustainability.
We are looking for a Manager to lead the group Project Purchasing Interior/Exterior within the department Cab & Electronics (SC). You will be responsible to drive and coordinate an diverse purchasing team of 8 skilled purchasers. As a leader for this team you will be based in Södertälje with the objective to perform purchase activities in pre-development and development projects for components such as, Lights, Glass, Noise abs, Fabric, Hoses, Gaskets, Sealings and Suspension.
In this area there are many interesting projects and activities in the pipeline, The team will contribute part of the overall vision in transformation to become a sustainable transport system provider and meet the Science Based Targets.
Main tasks
Team responsibilities include keeping track of the project time lines and other purchasing deliverables, such as Supplier negotiations, nomination activities, forming sourcing strategies, sourcing plan and prototypes purchasing. In addition also prepare for decisions throughout the projects. The team support the organization to give the best possible quality regarding estimations of investments in supplier tools, material cost into the projects as well as monitor and follow up on deviations and changes. Early active involvement in the PD-Process is key for achieving sufficient design to lowest possible cost.
As a member of this team, you are probably proactive, creative, flexible, take own initiatives, are able to handle multiple open issues and prosper in a dynamic environment.
Your work includes a lot of interactions at different levels, both internally and cross-functionally, it is therefore important that You have the ability to collaborate and build trust and be clear in your communication with others. You should have high integrity, good judgment and work according the Scania leadership principles.
